Many of them are professional writers and most have taught writing courses at Yale or other colleges and worked with Yale students for many years. Tutors are familiar with papers from freshman and sophomore courses and have helped students from every department with junior and senior essays. They can help you with other writing as well: fellowship or job applications, resumés, personal statements, etc.. How to make an appointment On the schedule page click on any available white box. In the time field, change the length of the appointment, if needed. Most appointments are 30-45 minutes. Tell us about the course and paper. You will receive an email confirmation; be sure to read this message as it contains instructions specific to your tutor. All tutoring takes place in the residential colleges. The schedule changes every day as students make and change appointments. New availability becomes visible a week in advance; best time to see new availability is midnight – 2AM.
